Boating tips - Props!

Boat Props
Tips and Information

The phase, "The boat is cavitating", refer to having cavitations at the propeller and shouldn?t be confused with ventilation. Cavitations is when water is vaporizing or "boiling" due to the extreme reduction of pressure on the back of the propeller blade. Incorrect matching of propeller style to application, incorrect pitch, and physical damage to the blade, can cause cavitations. Sometime propellers partially cavitate during normal operation, but excessive cavitations can result in metal erosion or "cavitations burn" to the prop's blade surface.

Don't let the cavitations eat your prop...

Fix it before it become a more expensive repair!!!
