Fishing News from Crossroads Campground... Are there any big fishes around the Parker Strip?
We do expend many weekends each year at this campground 
so it is a mayor part of our life. I came up with the idea of creating this page because in our 4 years camping at Crossroads Campground we have seem many people fishing, and catching good size fishes, at this campground but there seems to be no public mention of it in the web. Another reason, for creating it, was that every year we see quite a few interesting campers doing their fishing at the Crossroads Campground. Most of these fishing folks are nice and quiet campers just in search of a good fish catch to make their dinner for that day. Looking at them, it occurred to me that they should be mentioned, photographed, video taped and published in the web to give these special campers some recognition for their effort and now, right here, I can help all the fishermen and the fishing sport by writing about it on the web.... The web fishing at Crossroads Campground, the Parker Strip and the Colorado River has just began!!
I'm looking at the fishing aspect of camping at the Parker Strip
It just occurred to me to do my fishing with the keyboard instead...
of camping 
and since I have never gone for fish in the Colorado River because to my hobbies, boats and jet skis, kept me busy all the time, writing about it could be a way of catching the big fishes. Thinking deeper about the fishing in this section of the Parker Strip bring up to mind Bob and Donna, the good camping friends we met at this campground. They used to tell us stories about how good the fishing was in this area. See their big fish catch pics caught at Havasu Lake, AZ. I don't have the fishing pictures from their fishing action at Crossroads Campground yet. They are winter campers, we summer ones, so we have not seen them for a couple of years but we keep close contact on the phone.
Susy & Maury... A fishy Parker Strip "Memorial Day" weekend?
Many fishes, and people, visited the Parker Strip this weekend. I'm very glad to present to you, Maury & Susie, from the Palm Spring area. They are a very nice fishing couple from the Palms Spring area that we meet while camping at Crossroad Campground in the Memorial Day weekend of 2006. They caught a big Carp to enjoy for dinner that night. See them in a short, 3.72 MB wmv fishing video. I heard Maury had some personal problems, hope he's doing OK now. We are looking forward to meet again on Memorial Day next year, expend some time and eat some fish together. Cheers to the great campers and fishing couple, Susie & Maury, for their big fish catch!
Big Catfish hiding in the Colorado River's bank caught at Crossroads Campground
A fisherman from the Riverside area in southern California, Alfonso, was a "happy camper" the Memorial Day weekend by catching some big fishes, a catfish and a carp, on his birthday anniversary and celebrating the event with a special dinner in the company of his family at Crossroads Campground. Others members from his group, camping that day too, also got nice fish catches but they had to leave early so I wasn't able to take pictures of their catch. I have seem them fishing the banks of the Colorado River, at Crossroads Campground in the Parker Strip, an average of 3 times per year and they always get a whole bunch of fishes. This family of fisherman really know what they doing. Early in the day I took his son, Erick, for a ride in my Ultra. See Alfonso fish catch video in a windows media file. For supplies in a rush while fishing Crossroads Campground check out Lizards on the River, aka, "The Right Spot". I don't know what fishing supplies they carry nowadays but, if they doesn't have your fishing needs, I know ED will to point you in the right direction to get it.
